SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Financial reports filed this week for those running for state offices this fall show who is leading in fundraising for area races.
In the 9th Senate District, Democrat Martha Laning had raised over 77-thousand dollars through the first six months of the year. Republican Devin LeMahieu raised nearly 25-thousand. As for cash on hand, Laning has over 94-thousand while LeMahieu has over 22-thousand
In the 26th Assembly District, Republican Terry Katsma raised over 35-hundred dollars, while Democrat Terry Van Akkeren raised nearly 18-hundred. However, when it comes to cash on hand Van Akkeren has over 81-hundred while Katsma has over 11-hundred. Republican Job Hou-seye reported no money raised for his candidacy.
In the 27th District, Republican Tyler Vorpagel leads a field of three with over 13-thousand. Darryl Carlson raised around 45-hundred, and Jackie Jarvis raised just over three-thousand. Vorpagel also leads with cash on hand with over 87-hundred. Carlson is next with nearly 18-hundred while Jarvis has over 14-hundred. Democrat Scott Heinig raised nearly seven-hundred for his campaign and has nearly five-hundred on hand.
In the 59th District, Ralph Prescott raised nearly 14-thousand with over 41-hundred of it on hand while Tim Ramthum raised over 67-hundred with nine-hundred on hand. Financial reports for Jesse Kramer and Bill Savage were not posted online as of Tuesday.
