GREEN BAY, WI (WHBL) - Back-ups will have a chance to earn roster spots Thursday night when the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs play their final exhibition game at Lambeau Field. For the Pack, the most intriguing battle appears to be at the quarterback spot, where Matt Flynn and Scott Tolzien are vying to be Aaron Rodgers' top back-up. Flynn is expected to start, possibly alternating with Tolzien quarter-by-quarter. The Packers could end up keeping both quarterbacks, but that hasn't been decided yet. At inside linebacker, Jamari Lattimore and Sam Barrington are competing to be Brad Jones' top backup. Jones has been out with a thigh injury. The Packers could also audition some more kick returners. Rookie Corey Linsley will get a lot of time at center after J-C Tretter went down with an injury last week. The Chiefs will use the game to audition candidates at the number-three running back position. Coach Andy Reid said he also wants to get a look at some younger receivers and offensive linemen.
Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 4pm with kickoff at 6 o'clock.
