SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - State Senator Glenn Grothman led all candidates in fundraising last month as the 6th District House seat Republican primary nears its vote.
In reports filed Thursday with the Federal Election Commission, the Campbellsport resident reported raising nearly 95-thousand dollars through most of July. State Senator Joe Leibham of Sheboygan came in second with over 76-thousand dollars raised. State Assemblyman Duey Stroebel of Saukville raised under 13-thousand dollars. However, he leads with cash on hand with over 262-thousand thanks to mostly self funding his campaign. Leibham is next with cash on hand with over 171-thouand. Grothman is third with around 160-thousand.
All three men, plus Tom Denow of Oshkosh, face each other in the August 12th primary to fill the Republican seat on the November 4th ballot and replace Tom Petri.
