Investigators: Racial threat at UW- Parkside was hoax

KENOSHA, WI (WTAQ) - There was no threat.

Investigators say a reported threat against a University of Wisconsin-Parkside student was a hoax.

The unidentified student reportedly told officers she found two “nooses” hanging in a student dorm.

She later admitted making up the claimed threat because she was unhappy with the response of a resident assistant when she made a previous report.

The objects in question were made from rubber bands and plastic strings, according to a police report from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office.
