SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - A Plymouth man has been formally charged in connection with an armed standoff at the Mapleleaf Motel at Plymouth on Wednesday.  50 year old David West is facing up to 3 and a half years in prison.  According to the criminal complaint filed today in Sheboygan County Court, deputies had gone to the motel to evict West from his room there.  When he refused to leave, a deputy entered the room to find West sitting on the bed holding a shotgun.  That resulted in the Swat Team being called in and more than an hour of phone negotiations, during which West threatened suicide.  He eventually surrendered without incident.  No shots were ever fired.
