PLYMOUTH, Wis. (WHBL) - An armed standoff that lasted about two and a half hours near the city of Plymouth Wednesday ended peacefully when a 50 year old Plymouth man surrendered.  Captain Dave Adams of the Sheriff’s Department said the incident began around noon as a county deputy was serving a civil paper at the Mapleleaf Motel on Highway 57.  Adams said the officer was met by a man with a gun who then retreated into the motel.  The county Swat team and Plymouth Police responded and cordoned off the area.  Adams said the suspect was taken into custody around 2:30 after a negotiator talked with him for over an hour.  No shots were fired and no one was injured.  The suspect is being held in the county jail on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer.
