Sheboygan, Wis. (WHBL) -

A Greenbush man has now been formally charged with first degree murder in a shooting which occurred Tuesday night at Racers Hall near Plymouth.  63 year old Frank Hvizdak appeared by video conference before Court Commission Rebecca Persick in the murder of 31 year old Jason TenPas.  DA Joe Dececco requested $750,000 cash bail but Hvizdak’s attorney asked for a reduction, saying Hvizdak could be trusted to return to court.  Persick disagreed and set bail at $750,000.  According to the criminal complaint, Hvizdak and TenPas didn’t know each other, but became involved in a conversation which no one overheard.  Witnesses said Hvizdak suddenly pulled a small handgun and began firing.  That’s when other patrons grabbed Hvizdak and held him for authorities.  Persick scheduled a preliminary hearing for September 8th and Hvizdak was remanded to the county jail.
