Sheboygan, Wis (WHBL) A Sheboygan man facing charges in an attempted child abduction in the city of Sheboygan last December has been found competent to stand trial. Judge Gary Langhoff made the ruling this morning in the case of 52 year old Michael Rickaby and scheduled a preliminary hearing for March 15th. Rickaby is alleged to have stopped his car and told a 15 year old girl who was walking to school that he had a gun and to get in…but she ran. Rickaby was arrested a couple of days later after a police officer spotted his car in the area where the incident occurred. Rickaby later admitted he intended to kidnap the girl and sexually assault her. He remains in the county jail on $150,000 cash bond.
