When METALLICA recently confirmed reports that it was working on a 3D movie, the band was vague about what exactly the project would entail or when it come out. The Pulse Of Radio asked drummer Lars Ulrich for more info and he said that film production is new territory for the group which they're taking very slowly. "It's been an idea that's been kind of circling in everybody's heads for about the last two years. Getting your own 3D movie off the ground is easier said than done, but we're doing our best and we have a window for that later in the year that we're hoping to still make happen. We just want to make sure that we don't throw ourselves out into something that gets so completely overwhelming that the whole thing just blows up in our face." A new collection of demos by the late Joey Ramone will be released later this year. The collection was written for the Ramones and also for his solo project. "Ya Know?" will feature 17 tracks, including "Rock & Roll Is the Answer", "New York City" and "Waiting for That Railroad". It drops May 17th. More
Jane's Addiction may not make fans wait another eight years before releasing a new album. While speaking with Billboard.com, drummer Stephen Perkins revealed that the band has already discussed the approach they'd like to take for the follow-up to The Great Escape Artist telling RTT news: "We had a discussion on the flight home from the Super Bowl about, 'Okay, new music - do we visit it while we're touring? Do some stuff on the bus and in sound check and go that route, or do we wait 'til the tour's over and take a break and then go head-first?' We are talking about music, so that's important." Perkins goes on to add that while he would prefer to write all new material for the new album, he would consider using old ideas left over from the last album. More
POISON singer Bret Michaels' attorney is calling the third-party complaint filed by the defendants in the rocker's Tony Awards lawsuit "a desperate act." According to Bret's attorney, Alex Weingarten, the Tonys organization and CBS have filed a third-party cross complaint in U.S. District Court in New York last week against Rock Of Ages Broadway LLC — which he claims is an attempt to deflect blame for the incident.
