FOO FIGHTERS were honored with a Grammy in the "Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance" category in the pre-telecast ceremonies at the 54th annual Grammy Awards last night. FOO FIGHTERS were nominated for the track "White Limo", from the band's 2011 album "Wasting Light". The nominees in this year's "Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance" category were:

* DREAM THEATER - "On The Backs Of Angels"

* FOO FIGHTERS - "White Limo"

* MASTODON - "Curl Of The Burl"

* MEGADETH - "Public Enemy No. 1"

* SUM 41 - "Blood In My Eyes"

As he puts the finishing touches on his as-yet-untitled second solo album due out May 22, Slash has announced that his headliningU.S.tour will begin May 3 in Baltimore and stop at Madison’s Orpheum Theater May 16. According to SF Weekly, a rare and valuable bass guitar belonging to EVANESCENCE bassist Tim McCord was stolen from theSan Franciscoapartment he shares with his girlfriend. On Tuesday, shortly after McCord's girlfriend, Ashley Dunlop, left for work at 8:15 a.m., someone broke into their apartment in San Francisco's Panhandle neighborhood, and stole, among many other valuables, McCord's Yamaha bass guitar that had been handed down to him by his father after he died. "He is absolutely heartbroken," Dunlop told SF Weekly. "It is the most important possession he has and it means the world to him. To have that taken — he was broken by it." More 

 

Sanrio revealed the first crossover goods that it is creating with KISS. Four plush Hello Kitty figures reimagined as the four KISS band members-- and as they appeared on the jacket cover from the band's "Dynasty" album. The release date and price have not been set yet, but Sanrio and KISS also displayed keyholders, cases, and other character goods. Gene Simmons plans to sell the Hello Kitty merchandise at the band's concert venues, and the band is considering developing the collaboration overseas as well. More

Kiss are auctioning off a wedding package that includes Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley as guests of honor. The wedding or vow renewal ceremony will be at the "Hotter Than Hell" Wedding Chapel inside the Kiss Monster Mini Golf in Las Vegason March 15. The package includes limo transportation, two nights in a hotel, bridal make-up, flowers, a "Kiss costume" for the groom, cake, photos, silver Kiss guitar pick necklaces, dinner for the couple and 20 guests and a Kiss tribute band to play the reception. The eBay auction for the package is going on through Tuesday. Part of the proceeds will be donated to charity. More

Dayton, Ohio radio station “The X” conducted a short interview with Marilyn Manson last Friday. During the chat Manson revealed that the first single from his upcoming album "Born Villain", a song called "No Reflection", will be released in May.
