Slipknot won't record again until 2013. The band will tourAustralialater this month and North Americain the summer, but they won't be using the space in between to record. Member Shawn Crahan told Kerrang magazine: "We'll probably take some time off. It could be a month, it could be a couple of months, maybe even a year. After that time, I'll be over the immediate grieving process for Paul. I'll never be alright with it, but that's going to be enough time to get focused. The next album, it's going to be serious. I feel that it will be a lot like 'Iowa', but it'll be 'for' things, rather than 'against' them. 'Iowa' was against everything, even ourselves. But this next record, this will be for ourselves, for Paul, for his family. Slipknot fans: rest assured, we'll be back. We're not going anywhere. It doesn't matter what you read. We're still together and we're going to be together." More

News.com.au recently conducted an interview with VAN HALEN singer David Lee Roth. Asked about how he and Eddie Van Halen were getting along, Roth Replied: “If Ed and I can get along, then world peace can have a chance. There's sparks, there's energy, there's a team enthusiasm closer to pirates than little league. There's still some pillaging going on there. You can hear it in the music. There's routinely conflict but there's a lot of laughter. A lot of appreciation for the privilege of the job; compared to some of the other jobs we've all held, this is better. In one of the songs I say, "I've been rich and I've been poor, rich is better." It's totally better.” More
During a brand new interview with the Detroit Free Press, MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine was asked how he is feeling several months after undergoing surgery for stenosis, a neck and spine condition that he says was caused by years of headbanging. "My neck is completely recovered," he said. "The surgery was a breeze. The doctor I used ... did Peyton Manning's surgery. Fortunately, my recovery time has been a lot faster than Peyton's. He was in before me and I'm out playing before him. I wish him well in his recovery."
When asked if he can still headbang, Mustaine said, "I can headbang, but I've found with the limitation of, 'Do I want to headbang or do I want to be in a wheelchair?' I kind of toned it down a little bit. There's more body parts you can move around. I mean, I'm not dancing or anything like that but I'm making the best use of it I can." Here

What it's down to is determination, and believe me, this guy's got more determination than anybody I've ever met. It's gonna be fine. It's just one of those trials in life that happen, you know. He's got so much support, not only from each one of us in the band, but the fan base; it's unbelievable. And it's one of them problems you have in life. He ain't gonna die, I'm telling you. I told him if he dies, I'm gonna kill him." More

I don't want a guy who's just writing hits right now.'" Here
