Dave Grohl is executive producing a new sitcom about a rock band in crisis. He teamed up with comedian Dana Gould, who will write and star in the project. It's being developed by the FX channel. The show will focus on a band on the verge of megastardom who fall out. In a last ditch attempt to stay together, they seek professional therapy. Unfortunately they end up with a weird couples counselor who is on the brink of divorce. More details will be announced soon. More
In a brand new post on his Facebook page, Slash writes (in reference to the solo album he’s current working on) "[It] looks like we'll be finished recording next week. Then mixing begins. It's all going on." Joining Slash in the studio are the previously confirmed members of his touring band: vocalist Myles Kennedy (ALTERBRIDGE), rhythm guitarist Bobby Schneck, bassist Todd Kerns (SIN CITY SINNERS, formerly of AGE OF ELECTRIC), and drummer Brent Fitz (formerly of THEORY OF A DEADMAN). "American Idol" singer Adam Lambert has reportedly told U.K.'s Daily Star that he will join the legendary British rock band QUEEN for a tour this summer. Lambert, who previously performed with QUEEN at the MTV European Music Awards last November, said that he had "no intention" of trying to replace the group's original frontman Freddie Mercury. "The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f****** great songs. It's to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of," he said. More and more
Steven Tyler says he meant to sing the national anthem like that. The AEROSMITH frontman and American Idol judge endured plenty of jabs after his rendition of the anthem at the AFC Championship game last month, but Tyler says he doesn't understand what all the fuss was about Tyler explained to the Associated Press: "I don't know. As I said before, I put emphasis on, 'In the land of the free' and I went up. Oddly enough I hit the note so I don't know what they are talking about. I emphasized 'free' which was for freedom. It was well thought out prior to. I wasn't messing with American tradition." More and more

I'm sober so it doesn't make sense for me. It is hard for me to appreciate. There are so many people there and so many people are drunk. Still, if you get outside of the city, the place gets pretty hip. We played a show outside the city last time around and it was very different. Not everyone was drunk. The Women Who Care luncheon is a celebration of women who have inspired others through their professional and charitable endeavors. The reactivated ORGY will embark on a U.S. tour next week. The trek is scheduled to kick off on February 10 and will stop at The Rave on February 28th.
