Green Day was performing in Denver, Colorado when they debuted a brand new song called "Cigarettes And Valentines." "Cigarettes And Valentines" isn't exactly new, but you may have never heard it before. In 2003, the band recorded 20 songs for a follow-up LP to their "Shenanigans" album that they were going to call "Cigarettes And Valentines". That never happened because the master recordings were mysteriously stolen from the studio. Instead of starting from scratch, Green Day made "American Idiot" instead. Now we're trying to move forward and keep with the plans that we had prior to the incident. When the time comes, forces will bring us back together again. But as of now I can't even predict when that will happen. It's a magical thing, and you can't predict magic."
