Ramones drummer Tommy Ramone is born as Tamás Erdélyi in Budapest Hungary. He grows up in Queens, NY. 

1961

Queensryche bassist Eddie Jackson is born in Robstown, TX.

1977

“Walk This Way” is a Top 10 single. The Aerosmith song is inspired by a line in Mel Brooks’ comedy Young Frankenstein.

1991

Pearl Jam enters a Seattle recording studio to cut a handful of demos. These tracks eventually help them land a deal with Epic Records.

2007

The Paths We Choose, written by Sully Erna, ships to bookstores. In the memoir, the Godsmack frontman recalls his youthful experiences with drugs, crime and spent dreams.

2008

Nickelback, Green Day, U2, Foo Fighters, and White Stripes are featured on the 21-track ‘08 Grammy Nominees compilation album.
