I have a bit of a dilemma. How do you feel about people that have the tag "sent from my iPhone" on e-mail messages that were sent from their iPhones?
It comes as the default setting on the iPhone but now I'm starting to think it's a bit pretentious.
Comedian Mike Birbiglia recently said on Twitter, "Sent from my iphone" is the new "my other car is a Porsche."
Here's some other stuff he "tweeted" about the iPhone.
"Sent from my iphone" = "I'd like to have a brief, impersonal chat. Also, i have more money than you."
"Sent from my AT&T Blackberry" = "I'd like to be a douche-bag but I can't afford it."
&
"Sent from my iphone" is a way of saying, "We both have access to computers but yours is in a public library somewhere."
So what do you think? Am I being too self-important by keeping that on all of my outgoing messages? It's not like I can't change it. Should there even be a phrase like it and if so, what?
Tell me what you think in the comment area below.
Thanks for reading!
