As usual, Otto's comments in bold...
"A 12-year-old girl was rescued from a tree where she was trapped by a family of raccoons in Abbotsford, WI. A family of raccoons was in the tree she had climbed and every time she tried to climb down, they'd hiss and growl at her. When firefighters put a ladder on the tree to get her down they scattered further up the tree. The girl was rescued and no one was hurt." More
So if the raccoon's were already IN the tree, why'd she try to climb it in the 1st place? Though it is nice to see a kid actually doing something outside for once!
"A University of Oregon grad student was arrested after his neighbors reported hearing gunfire coming from inside his campus-area home. Cops responded to the house and found the man sitting at his computer shooting his gun into the air. "He fired sporadically, three or four shots, then he would stop for a few minutes, then three or four more." Cops said they found at least 39 bullet holes in his ceiling, and later seized several firearms and other evidence from inside the house. They arrested the 30-year-old man on 39 counts of unlawful use of a weapon and second-degree disorderly conduct." More
Search as I might, I couldn't find any story that mentioned a motive, which is too bad as that usually make the comedy easier. As it is however... just another Saturday night.
"An angry Seattle-area man went on a rampage in a bulldozer destroying four of his neighbors' homes and cut power to thousands after a fight over a fence. The 51-year-old has been arguing with a neighbor over the fence, which he says is too close to his home. Neighbors say he got in the bulldozer and "just went nuts" destroying two homes completely. He also knocked down a utility pole cutting off power to thousands. The 51-year-old was arrested and tossed in jail. Luckily, no one was hurt." More
The part they left out of the story? DID HE TAKE OUT THE FENCE TOO?
And finally today... "A fight at a Waffle House in Georgia involved co-workers, and at one point, one woman started to pull out her coworkers hair. A video, which appears to have been shot on a customer's smartphone, shows two separate fights starting almost simultaneously. In the right corner of the video, two waitresses dressed in blue fight while a man tried to break it up. Meanwhile, to the left of the picture another fight is taking place between a larger women wearing yellow and a woman in a green t-shirt. No explanation is given for what the women are fighting over." More
Man... the cell phone camera era... aint it great? And I've never been to the Waffle House myself, but according to many of the friends I have who've been to several of them during their travels throughout the south land... this qualifies as "Just another day at ye ole Waffle Haus..." GOOD TIMES!
HAVE A GOOD ONE FOLKS!
